Matters Arising

Wish List, the forum has decided to go ahead with the improvements suggested at the last meeting for replacement fencing at Castle Street, Forres and replacement fencing and slabs at Coltfield and Findhorn. Replacement fencing for Thornhill, Forres has been put on hold until the group receives a costing from The Moray Council. A suggestion for resurfacing work at the rear of Claremont is to be disused further. Heather to e-mail Mike More with this information.

Correspondence

1. TPAS, conference 2008 is in Dundee in October, cost per person £500.

2. Your Right To Repair booklet from The Moray Council has now been sent to all council tenants

3. T.I.S. has sent us a copy of their 2007/08 training information

Treasurers Report

The treasurer reported that to date the forum has £406.08 in their account.

Working Groups Feedback

Chairperson, Eric Allan, Aberdeen City Council
Vice-Chair, Charles French, The Moray Council
    Secretary, Lynda Spinks, Angus Council
Treasurer, Heather Anderson, The Moray Council
The next meeting is on the 19th June in Aberdeen.
  2. T.P. Working Group, see print out
  3. Housing Best Value, see print out

Gardening Competition

The secretary has found the help to hopefully carry on this competition this year, before the next forum meeting she hopes to have judges in place. On the matter of prizes the secretary will talk to The Moray Council to see if they will continue to finance this. Lossiemouth and Bilbohall tenant forums are going to run their own independent gardening competition.

Promoting T.P.

The chair is to look into taking the Gazette window; new photographs need to be taken for this. The secretary suggested that a leaflet drop when she is out with her volunteers looking for gardens for the competition.

The chair asked all to think about this year's A.G.M., guest speaker etc. The secretary suggested a date should be decided on and invites to The Moray Council should go out by the end of July. The Moray Council has the inspectors coming in September and all staff will be busy with their own office work

A.O.C.B.

  1. It has been drawn to the forums attention that a 4 wheel drive car has been parking in Urquhart Street; it has blocking access for fire engines etc. The secretary offered to keep an eye on the situation as she visits this area on a daily basis. Should this continue the forum will contact the Community Warden/police.
  2. The secretary informed the group that The Moray Council Tenants Core Group web site, with links off to the forums, is now up and running. To have a look sign in to www.moraytenantscoregroup.co.uk
