Matters arising

1.    Wish list – flower beds for Nicholson Place area, Lands and Parks have more than enough to look after without giving them more work. Fences for Stuart Street area, it is the front garden fences that need replacing; many of the planks are rotten.

2.   MVSO newsletter – insurance- forum does not need independent insurance, covered my MC insurance.

3.   Treasurers Report – chair to draft letter to Diane Law at MC with regard to the £750 wrongly deposited into the forums account for the seconded time.

3.   Housing Bill 2009 information workshop, 16^th July, MC HQ, Elgin, 10am start, names to the secretary by 13^th July.

To date the forum has £714.22 in their account, all bills are up-to-date

Core Group minutes

Items discussed at the June meeting,

1.    Housing Bill 2009

2.   Graeme Davidson – Policy Officer – to invite TP officers from RSL’s in Moray to the next TP meeting.

3.   Road show with the DLO, date still to be arranged.

4.   Spey Coast forum has been awarded money from “Awards for All” to purchase computer equipment for their secretary, the Core chair encouraged all forums to do the same.

5.   Council new build – Springfield Properties are to build these. Moray Council have been invited to bid for extra money to build 8 more houses.

6.   Public Service Improvement Plan – PSIF – the chair is working with the Housing Team, vice-chair and secretary are yet to start with their groups.

7.   Region 2 – new web site –

8.   Council staff abuse was discussed

9.   Vice-chair will be taking a rest until further notice, but can be contacted via email.

Housing Bill 2009

The questionnaire that has been sent to all RTO’s are to be completed and returned by the 14^th August. The forum will complete their questionnaire at the August meeting and it will email in by the secretary.

Gardening Competition

Leaflets to be rewritten by the secretary. Judging to be arranged for the first or second week of August.
